There are a few possibilities. Check the control unit on the fuse/relay board. Has a 43 or 47 imprinted on it. Switch it with a known good one is the only test I know of. There is no known repair of this unit as far as I know. The next culprit is the capacitor on the board of the LED. You would need a known good complete dash pod to switch to test that. It can be repaired though by removing the gauge then the board and changing the capacitor. Major PITA but can be done.
