Louize,

In addition to some of the other advice you've received, I'd suggest preserving the engine and then *not* turning it over at all until you're ready to bring your Westy back to life. Here<http://www.lycoming.textron.com/support/publications/maintenancePublications/serviceLetters/SL180B.pdf>are some preservation guidelines for an aircraft engine, which you might wish to adapt.

Perhaps consider some type of oil spray like Krown rust proofing (Canada) or the equivalent.

Use a fuel stabilizer, or better yet, just let one of us baby your Westy for you!
