I have used Tridon refill blades a lot, as these are the generic replacements available here in NZ. They are crap, and chatter chronically because they don't flip-over on the reverse stroke.

I have recently discovered Aunger (an Aussie make) silicone blades. They have dual slots to fit both 6mm & 8mm arms. These are available in several colors, and do a much better job than ordinary blades, BUT they the left one (RHD vehicle) tends to shriek at the end of the return stroke... possibly the silicone rubber is too grippy... hope this doesn't hurt the motor!

I have these in my Corolla... and will eventually fit them to my Caravelle.

Note that those asinine dual-blade refills do not do any better a job than ordinary blades, and are noted for reducing motor life. -- Andrew Grebneff Dunedin New Zealand Fossil preparator <andrew.grebneff@stonebow.otago.ac.nz> Seashell, Macintosh, VW/Toyota van nut
