Have you considered getting a full width front mat from a transporter?
It is custom molded to fit the driver footwell ,shifter area, and
passenger footwell and goes right up the sides about 6" as well. There
is a seperate mat for the area ribght between the seats. I have one
and I love it!

Ron at www.busdepot.com had some from Germany but I did not see them
on his site when I checked. I could have missed it there are over 1500
hits there for "mat"
