All modifications were was done with the cabinet in place. 75% of the cut was done with a jig saw with two layers of masking tape on the surface. That top edge was the bugger. I used a fine tooth hand saw as there is no room for the jig saw up there. A sawsall would have worked but I had no sawsall available.
