Hey Gerry,

Just a note to let the other van folks know.....

I just finished up a complete engine overhaul on my 1985 Vanagon 1.9 Liter motor

During the rebuild my mechanic, found a broken piston, so we looked for 2 weeks for a single piston cylinder.....FORGET it! they do not exsist!

So after pricing the sets we found pricing around $350 - $650.00 per set, Then I found Mr Bob The Trout Fisherman from BostonEngine.com He did me right on a set. But It came with rings.

This made the standard (NEW IN BOX) set I purchased for the rebuild obsolete for my project, I paid $ 71.00 plus shipping, to the "Parts Bin" these guys are not flexible at all! We went over there return policy period of days, they would not take them back.

So I have

1. 3 VERY usable "Standard sized" Piston Cylinders for any other rebuilders out there. They do exsist now!

2. One "New in Box", "Standard sized" set of rings for the 1.9l waterboxer

Taking offers on these parts....

Best Regards, Al Cady, Conrad, Montana
