Subject: AMC head 30k report.....

Picture is not that good compare to my normal stuff (cell phone) but still, you can clearly see that valves position are not equal, some have worn valve tip, some worn valve seat, some worn valve (circumference, diameter, angle...) period.... the rest of the head are in near perfect condition... So GoWesty, Boston Bob, you are right!!!

BUT!!!!! the new head am using have different valves, lately, something as change.... still.

What to think, am not sure!!! i will do other test tommorow. What am sure of is the guides and springs are in good condition... You may think twice about putting VW or stronger valves to replace the AMC ones. The question am asking myself is that some valve seat are pretty bad! and on those seat, the valves are ok! For now, am not sure if those valves in question are straight, that could explain the worned seat!!! Yeap, i guess that they are to soft....

Cheers, Ben http://www.benplace.com/

Note: those head were poorly installed (not by me), NO sealant.... use, bad torque and so on.
