JimT, This is a bit off topic but I think it is unlikely that if someone on the list has a virus they will be any cause for alarm. Avoid sending or recieving attachment to the list and all will be fine. The list will not publish any attachments in the digest mode so switch to that if you have not yet done so and avoid any list members who send you attachments that look like a problem. regards gary Date: Wed, 30 Nov 2005 10:55:08 -0700 From: jimt <camper2@TACTICAL-BUS.INFO> Subject: Re: Problem with someone on this List !

there are now at least three someones on the lists (vanagon and/or wetwesties) infected. the ip checks put one in MS Mail servers and two in the PACBELL servers.

I have sent notes to security at PACBELL and they are tracking. but advised me that W32SoberX and W32Mytob-fa are both running rampant again right now.

both of these can only attack windows systems and both attack the standard address book if the proper security updates have not been installed on the systems. request windows users run a proper virus checker and install your security updates.

the viruses are only coming to an email address i use for vanagon and wetwesties. using some search parameters against the incoming mail to match virus against normal mail i have matched 6 possible computers.
