Loren, I recently purchased the Leadtek WinFast TV USB II Deluxe

From www.zipzoomfly.com Their price is $104.99

You have to run USB 2.0 and with windows SP4 update for windows 2000 or just use XP. It works well and I like the software that it comes with.

You can google search USB tuner cards, but I can say I have used this one with great results.

I anyone is using an external (PCMCIA slot or USB) tuner for their laptop when traveling, I'd like opinions and comments, pro and con, on your experience with specific makes and models. I'm getting ready to add such a device to my new laptop and the variety of units on the market is confusing. Thanks
