When I lived in Portland (OR) it would sleet .... speaking of no traction unless you had studded snows! I had a BMW 2002 at the time ('71) and had to get to work one day. Actually slid sideways off the traveling road surface after coming to a stop. The road was crowned just enough and the tires warm enough that the traction/friction disappeared and gravity took over. Had regular Conti's on it then. Sleet is the worst. Bob |
