Hi Cindy, I live in northern Maine (New Brunswick to the east, Quebec to the west) and I have to go southwest to get to Ottawa. I have Nokian Hakkapeliita C2 tires (185-14) on both my vans ('84 7 pass automatic, and '85 Westy 4 speed) and have no trouble with winter driving. I haven't had to, but adding weight inside, over the rear axles, can help with traction. Mike
