Hi all Well its been a month and ive done not all that much to the build up of my 1.9L water box vanagon motor. im already starting to feel that it will be spring by the time i get the long block built. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO here is my question??

Is there a builder that would assemble this thing for me to long block status?? How much will it cost and is my time worth there time etc. ive built my share of air head motors but im sure i can build this thing i just am finding that i get very few blocks of time to put it together to know where i left off and need to start.

is there anyone in the South East Michigan to toledo ohio area that would assemble this thing to a long block?

here is the list of things that have been done or need to be done:

-Crank Straightened / balanced and turned - Rods rebushed - sized - balanced - bearings - got them all - case cleaned and inspected has only 13k on it. should be cleaned some more -pistons new cofap in the box -heads only 13k on them still look like new - have complete rebuild kit already just missing a few little things - cam and lifters all with only 13k all good - flywheel balanced and checked good - front pulley ballanced

i really dont want to ship it out of this world to get the work done. but i live in V8 country and finding someone that has seen one let alone build one is another story. or do i just need to shut up and build the damn thing?? and stop spending so much time on the computer looking at the samba and email lists?? thanks for any help. i just want someone to build it the way i want it built not some of these guys that say i can build a motor in 4 hours and drive it home. ive built motors in 5-6 hours and installed and drove but i didnt expect or count on them.

thanks Jonce
