I just bought my first Vanagon - 1983.5 GL Sunroof with a Subaru 2.2 liter conversion. I bought it from a friend who bought it from a friend who bought it on ebay. I don't know a lot about it but I have the original sticker that shows it was a California van. It passed the smog check with flying colors as it is much cleaner than what is required here for a 1983.

It's not in too bad of shape but does need some attention. The first thing I need to do is replace the leaky clutch master cyclinder. I checked Bentley and didn't find much informaiton. Any suggestions woudl be helpful.

The next order of business is to replace the heater fan. I have not yet looked it up in Bentley but suspect the dash needs to come out.

Of course I will load it up with lots of EuroCampers accessories. I added the wind deflectors and plan to install our deluxe dash console this week.
