Subject: 83.5 Westy Missing slider door inside lever retaining screw
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII; delsp=yes; format=flowed

Hi all,

I was trying to close the sliding door on my 83.5 Westy when the inner door handle "pull-lever latch" came off - no retaining screw! I have no idea when or where the screw was lost, nothing in my "hell- box" of old screws fits.

I am trying to guess the size and thread pitch before going to the hardware store - is it possibly a M5 x .80 or .50 pitch? Length? The Bentley just says Phillips Screw on page 58.3 Fig 1. without any other spec.

Anybody know?

TIA

Dave Richoux 83.5 Westy, Los Altos CA
