Hi Lorraine ive had plenty of vws most air cooled and ive had fantastic heat in all of them. the trick is to make sure you have a complete operational heater system with thermostat!! i just sold a 81 westi and the heat would cook you right out of it and you had to turn it down. i also have a 71 bus that will heat it up in no time. also make sure all of your door and window seals are in good shape as with no rust holes to let in the drafts. also just having the stuff on the bus is not worth a damn if it is not adjusted correctly. good luck Jonce

>With all of the snow we've received this year already, and with the sub zero temperatures, I wanted to poll the group to see what people with air-cooled's are doing for interior heat while driving?

> I have propane heat, but portable, so not safe to drive with. I'm trying to decide whether to stick with my 1981 WV Westy, or to upgrade to a 1987 - 1991, and this will be one of the deciding factors. Last year I drove with hat and gloves...and it was still C.O.L.D.!!!
