Better than the goofy idea I had...

Back in '93 or '94, when I had my van's radiator recored, I had the rad guys solder a length of thin copper tubing to the right hand brass end cap of the rad.

The idea was to connect windshield washer line to it and have the fluid heated. Well it didn't work, I don't think I had a long enough bit of tubing attached to the rad.

This looks like a good idea. Automatic mode should un-stick those frozen wipers or at least scald any feral cats.
