I've done (had done), a Tiico conversion, an SVX conversion and a SA 5 cylinder conversion.

Tiico was $4000 to buy, plus another $4000 in labor to install. SVX is difficult to judge because I had a lot of other things done, but probably is in the $8K-10K range, including install. SA 5 cylinder is $5000(?) to purchase, plus additional to install. I'm doing the install myself and taking my time (3 years?)

The idea of the Zetec is (unlike the others), it is MUCH more of a DIY bolt in. Even if you pay someone else to install, it's a lot less expensive. It's already assembled ready to slap into the car. That was NOT true of the Tiico. That was NOT true of the SA 5 cylinder Even the SVX required extra work, it wasn't a straight bolt in.

How much is your time worth to you?
