Volks,

Recently I was fortunate enough to be able to attend Jim Davis's Syncro Safari 2005 in Death valley, CA.

Great trip and had a blast.

11 days/ 10 nights 3 Hot Springs Great Free Thanksgiving Dinner served at Panamint Springs Great Event Potluck Great People and fireside conversation Great vehicles to ogle Elevations from -200ft to +9,000 ft. Lots of Dirt and lots and lots of nasty washboard. No Mechanical problems A few minor cosmetic problems ... Mostly due to too much testosterone on washboard or trails. Rear AC Cabinet kept coming loose Crunched one LP tank rock shield Passenger Power Window stopped working after terrible grinding sound.

Gas Gal Cost Per Miles MPG Gal $434.26 153.21 $2.87 1,988 13.70

Vehicle 1990 Syncro Westy 2.1L AVP Rebuild

Lots of head and cross winds to the event Calm weather on the return Temps, Mid 70's - low 80's daytime, Low 50's nighttime

good road, good adventure, good life,

larry chase
