I recently purchased a set of Bilstein shocks for my F-250 from this e-bay
seller.  I haven't installed them yet but he had the best price I could
find, shipped them quickly and NO sales tax to my WA address helped offset
the shipping charge! YRMV

I'm using Boge's (OEM I believe) on my 85 Vanagon Westy and noticed a huge
difference over the two year old KYB's that were on it when I bought it.
The Boge's weren't cheap but I'm thoroughly satisfied after two years and
15K.

there is another cheap great option: there is a guy on ebay selling
bilsteins for vanagons for 209$ a set with buy-it-now, plus 29 shipping
(ouch). i have bilsteins in my van in the front and its absolutely great
(KYB in the back as i was out of money). however i can only compare to the
stock ones i took out at 128000miles.
