That happened with mine after several months of trouble free use. It's been awhile since that happened and it hasn't happened again, and I don't know why it happened. But I fixed it by creating a new folder, copying all the messages in the inbox to the new folder (I think I called it inbox2) and then I think I actually deleted the inbox. Not sure about that, but I think I did. If Mozilla won't let you do that, just copy the messages back into the empy inbox. I think what happened is that I did delete the inbox, and then closed Mozilla and started it again. It created a new inbox, and I've had no trouble since then. Good luck!
