> Hi All, > I was thinking that it might be a good idea, > to lay a stretch of masking tape > along side the door panels > ( when removing them ) > so that the putty knives > don't scratch the paint?? I watched my really good resto body guy (Malcolm) remove them w/ that special panel removing tool w/ a forked tongue, took him forever to protect my perfect yellow panels, but he did! He used the forked tongue, putty knives, all at the same time, & very slowly, still broke about 30% of the snaps. I fedexed in new ones from BD, that the painter matched the color on the panels to nicely & have some spares for the future. Tom-yellow or brown-which one is uglier? |
