Yes, that's assumed. First you have to pull the knobs off by brute force. Put them on the dash in the order they came off so you won't have to experiment to get them to fit.

Then CAREFULLY lever the plate off with a thin blade like a knife. There are two pegs that hold the faceplate into the base, be careful to pry alternately and don't try to get one side or the other all the way out. Epoxy won't help much with this plastic.

Then you'll see the bulb and socket arrangement, such as it is. Nothing you couldn't cobble together.

Come time to reassemble, test the light to make sure it works. Now put the faceplate up loosely to the base, don't seat it yet. Reattach the knobs to their respective levers enough to stay while you push the faceplate home. Now seat the levers with a push.
