Frank,

You shouldn't have any problems. The road south to Gonzaga Bay is pretty well maintained, just watch out for wash-outs. The road from Gonzaga Bay to Hwy 1 is usually in even better condition. Other than the wash-outs, be careful of the half buried round rocks that are imbedded in the road. I split a front rim on my Husqvarna on one of those nasty little buggers.

Cheers,

Jeff

Anybody driven their Vanagon past Puertecitos on Hwy. 5 to Punta Final then to Hwy. 1 junction ? Can you tell me how the road conditions are ? It is possible to pass there with a 2 WD van ?
