A few folks have asked about my new rear external tire rack, so for the archives:

Marc Peters bought my after market tire rack from http://www.busschmiede.de/ Marc charged me 472 € installed. Marc told me that a REAL VW tire rack costs US$1500, IF! one can find one.

The after market tire rack is also available from http://www.syncro-bernd-jaeger.de/ENGLISH/Spezialitaten/body_spezialitaten.html Left or right 275,00 €.

Photos of Marc's install on my 'new' van are at: http://photos.yahoo.com/mwstebbins in the "De-Coupler" Album. Other van photos are in the "Dehler" Albums. Thanks. Malcolm
