> so anyone know a compatible part well just another for the archives I ended up calling another vw dealer these guys were a bit brighter the parts guy said the golf/jetta 85-90 used a compatible bulb socket (12cdn) with replaceable bulb($2cdn) So i took my lumps an sure enuff the comptabible buld socket slipped right in It has the same part number 321-919-039 as gowesty.com so the next time you out in the FLAPS boneyard grab a few from any golf/jetta 85-90 I assume its the light behind the heater vent on the golf/jetta..
