the only difference is the 86-91 clusters have an extra part of the ribbon going to the high oil pressure sender light. some 85's had this too. i have a 85 cluster with the high oil pressure ribbon on it, and it was just taped off to the speedo housing, and not plugged into anything. when using a 85-91 cluster on any other year, you just tape off that part of the ribbon. most people like to keep their existing speedos, and you just use your existing speedo in the new cluster.. for example you can put a '80 speedo in a '91 cluster, etc.
