I have found that hockey tape works much better than duct tape for most repairs. It sticks better to wet things and to itself and if you stretch it tight it seals very well. I got a pinhole leaking water from the WBX metal cooling pipe on the left side of the engine. Duct tape was useless in sealing it up, but a few layers of hockey tape held it completely tight for two whole days of driving until I could replace the pipe. -Hans
