I am running Mercedes wheels with no issue. They are a 16" wheel and I machined the Merc ball seats to tapers so I could have access to more lug bolts and nuts. Front got spacers and they are working very well for 2 years now.

you said audi rims, i assumed they were alloys. but yes you can machine the centers...steel or alloy, doesnt matter. since theyre steelies, then you dont have to change your rear studs. whats the offset stamped on the wheels?? i know the audi 5000T/200 alloys were 45mm, im not sure of the steels..

chris , who has run a number of different audi wheels on vanagons before....
