One other thing about California relitive to this post about "tuning". AIUI (As I understand it) once you've gotten your van certified as a "2005 Ford Focus" or whatever... you ARE that vehicle in the eyes of CARB/BAR and hence any aftermaket parts with CARB approval for a "2005 Ford Focus" can now be applied to your "2005 Ford Focus Vanagon".
