Dear Lurker,Cv axel noises do come and go for awhile. In cold weather, the grease gets stiff, and the click, louder.Comes a time when you may have to pullover and walk or risk ripping the axel from the trans.I did my axels in 20 degree weather the first time,so we are kin.I saw god in the cold while on my back, on the pavement ,outside, that day.Check for a cv axel post,in the archives under my name for the trick to simple installation. I used a pep boy and advance auto parts rebuilt axel for about 25 K without problems,so far.$100 each w/grease.If you cant find the post I wrote, let me know ,grasshopper. Signed,Still frozen after all these repairs |
