There seems to be some confusion here as to the symptom experienced by the original poster. I read it as the starter would engage and spin the engine but the engine would not start. The only time (when hot as he put it) it would "Fire" and try to catch was when he was turning the key back to the left away from the "Start" position. That, to me, is a symptom of a bad ignition switch. Now if one turns the key to the start position and the starter doesn't engage and spin ... that's a whole 'nuther problem. Often cleaning connections and grounds will fix that one ... and/or the WR-1 hot start relay. Mike |
