This reminds me of my hobby/second job which is making/selling tilts for vw buses. I am probably the only person who is in regular production of these items in the world as far as I know. They are a very obscure product, there are very few SC/DC's around compared to other buses/vans, but they are a semi big ticket item, so I don't have to justify making 1000's of them to make a profit/hassle w/ that many sales, shipping, etc. I have made over 100 of them, which is way more than I ever thought volks would want/need. If it weren't for the web, this business would never be able to exist, as my market is global, not my backyard.

In any event, back to the availability of parts to repro, I have an ad on the Samba ( http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=248006 ) now selling tilts w/ a note that anyone who has an og set of hoops for a vanagon SC or DC & can lend them to me, I will make canvases for those trucks also. Right now I make canvases for 1952-1979 VW trucks including the Binz, & would like to make canvases for vanagons, but need the hoops/truck gate grommet dimensions, etc. to make a prototype. Any body interested?

Pax,

Tom
