Yeah, my speakers were "buzzing"; I used a bandsaw to neatly slice the case open at the seam line. The flexible membrane supporting the cone had "vaporized" over the years, surprised the speakers worked at all. Used diagonal cutters to remove the old speakers which are sort of integrated into the grill side of the case. Got some Kenwood replacements, epoxied the speakers in position, and epoxied the case together again, and back to good travelin' sounds. (I've seen where some people add black electrical tape along the seam to hide flaws, but if you're moderately careful the job is easy.)

Has anyone been successful replacing the rear speakers on a vanagon. It looks like the case is glued together and I'd hate to break the case opening it up. I'm thinking that with better speakers that still is the best placement. Thanks in advance.
