Subject: Re: replaced tranny but no move. What next?

1/2 a can of seafoam will rip the snot out of an elephants' trunk in 30 seconds.Yeah, you will have to drain the trans, but as you now know, all you have to do to do this is loosen the collarnut at the dipstick tube and trans.

Seafoam proudly(?) says that no seal conditioner is in this can. After this treatment add any can of seal conditioner you want.

I did this therapy to my daughters sentra with 1/2 a can and I had to drain the trans 2 times, and there was still dirt in the fluid. A couple of days later she took her car to a shop for service and they told her the trans fluid was old and dirty and needed changing. What an introduction! I only wanted her trans maintained so it would last till she gets a job after college.

zI would say,if the trans is now fixed, drain it 3 times, one of which gets a new filter, and after each oil change thereafter. Put the wholecan in your van.The 45 minutes running is because stiff seals respond to heat .Disconnect the radiartor fan or relay, and watch the temp gauge to get absolute maximum heat.Shift all the whileP-R-N-2-1-2-N-R-D over and over.

If it gets better, but not good enough for you to drive everyday, consider a valve body swap out. takes one hour and is ez to do.Swapping a trans is summer work. Removea and cleaning of the valve body is in the bentely.Just takes orginization.Good luck Al
