I was able to fix both of these problems: Shifter vibration was repaired by cleaning and re-greasing every part in the shifter and its linkage back to the transmission. The buzzing mirror was repaired by the installation of a Zetec engine kit.

Happy Holidays!

Dave :)

This isn't uncommon. What is uncommon is that anyone get's there van quiet and vibration free enough to notice ;)

I don't have a fix for it, but if you find one please let me know. Between that and my rear view mirror buzzing occasionally I'm prone to gone mad. My g/f thinks I'm ridiculously obsessed with noises, she has yet to appreciate that hearing something BEFORE it breaks is vitally important in this wonderful old machines.
