>Need to do it today. Is there anyone who can tell me ,and how difficult this is? Do I need any parts to reinstall the runners? Thanks Assuming you mean the runners that attach to head and are talking about the waterboxer engine: You will need to unbolt the injectors from the runners, remove the hose clamps attaching the runners to the short hoses that attach to the air box in the center of the engine. Then remove the two bolts that attach the runners to the head. (repeat on the other side of the engine. You will have to remove the A/C compressor, if you have one. (DON'T disconnect the hoses, just unbolt the compressor and set it aside. The air filter box is in the way too.) You may have to disconnect a few hoses to get access to everything. To re-install, you should get new gaskets (where the runners attach to the head), new hose clamps (if you still had the factory crimp on clamps), and should consider changing the injector o-rings. Any hose you touch, might turn to dust too. Why do you have to remove the runners? Bill |
