When asking for Carfax, perhaps the requester should ask for a carfax report WITHOUT posting the VIN.

Only exchange the VIN with private email after a carfax account holder responds...

I'm concerned that If Carfax/Autocheck notices 12 requests for the same VIN within an hour they may get offended and/or cancel your account.......since you are not supposed to share your Carfax capability with others....

or am I just paranoid?
