I'll bet the brakelights not working are directly related to the new trailer wiring... as for the throttle response, it could be a lot of things, but I'd check the throttle position switch first. Most years have two, the one that tells the ECU "I'm idling" is the one to test first.

Of course, it could be weak grounds, dirty contacts somewhere or a bad vacuum line... though I assume that (as a long-term listee) you've already taken care of all that.

Then there are the infamous tempII sensor / oxygen sensor issues, it seems that these two components can conspire to produce *any* bad-running symptom at all...
