experiments with flushing & sea-foam seem easier to do first, but if disassambly is needed is there a simple way to tell if the shaft is/was seated? There's measurement 'a' of 10mm shown in Bentley -- is measurement the only way to tell? The TC mated up with the

During reassembly there was no resistence to fitting the trans back on the engine, at least, none noticable. And as mentioned before, the TC was wired in place, with wires removed only at the last moment before bolting.
