Hi Jim, Make a visit to your local food store, "Wally World", hardware store, etc. Go to the laundry soap department. Look for a product called "Rit Dye", its made to dye fabrics. It comes in almost any color and is simple to use. The instructions on the box are for use in a washing machine. But if you mix a pan of hot water, soap and the dye, and scrub the carpet with a stiff brush and let dry it will work great! One suggestion, always pick a color a shade a little darker than your desired color if your trying to cover stains, light spots etc. I have used this for many years selling used cars and trying to "spiff" them up a little. Be careful not to let it dry on any lighter colored plastic parts, its real hard to remove from plastic trim once it sets up. Works great, costs less than $2.00, best of all worlds! LOL Good Luck David Subject: Source for carpet color replenisher?
