Aaron,

I have a 2002 EJ25 in my 1985 weekender and I can assure you that this engine should do everything you want it to. 165 HP is a great improvement.

I installed 15" steel wheels and it rides great. Second gear is a whole new ballgame.

Tim

i am looking to upgrade my stock syncro to a faster, more reliable engine. my current plan is to go subaru 2.5. plan b is to find a suitable replacement van, someone has done exaclty what i want to do but doesn't want the van anymore. then i can sell mine, buy theirs, and probably save some money.

this van has been for sale a few times on ebay, and it's not far from here. http://tinyurl.com/dk9eb (ebay #4600518524). is the owner a listmember? (of course i'll email him eventually, but i'm asking y'all first) does anyone have any beta on this kind of engine install? it's not really a tiico. i'm curious about ground clearance, vibration, problems with the 50 deg angle, his description of the oil suck issue, etc.

i really want a subaru, but maybe this is a better option?

thanks.
