Subject: Cross Counry AW Top Trip

Hello from Jackson Hole Wyoming! I'm mid-way through my Toronto to Portland trip to pick up my AW top and I have to say I'm very pleased with the way the syncro is handling snow covered roads.

I'm still having nagging mechanical problems: hot start issues, loss of power at low speed, hitting the occassional invisible wall at highway speeds, and those darn brake lights but the van has made it this far.

My route from here will take me West along i80, North West on i84 south on i5 and then back East on either i80 or i70 (I have not decided yet). The funny thing was is I did not see a single VW Van until I hit Big Sky Montana Yesterday. If you're out West and you see a white syncro westy with a SA grille look for my Ontario vanity plate "VANAGON" and wave.

Chris
