I don't think you can remove the plastic - I'd love to be able to myself. I have cleaned inside with a Q-tip and some mild cat shampoo of all things and then lots of rinsing. -----Original Message----- From: Vanagon Mailing List [mailto:vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com] On Behalf Of Malcolm Stebbins Sent: January 3, 2006 7:10 To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Subject: Instrument cluster - clear plastic cover removal I have my van's instrument cluster out (repairing the odometer, and epoxying the cracked plastic shroud around the speedo housing). I'd like to clean things up as best I can and it looks as though the curved clear plastic that covers the front side of the speedo and tack/clock can be removed. Does anyone know how to do this as I certainly don't want to crack the clear plastic. I tried the archives, but didn't find anything with the search terms I used. thanks. Malcolm
