Subject: SA Grille Emblem (Was Re: vanagon Digest - 3 Jan 2006 - Special
issue (#2006-9))
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1
Chris Turner & myself posted to the list regarding the emblem part numbers
applicable to the SA Grille on 11/16/05. Here's a refresher::
My Post:
Golf/Jetta Sedan 88-92 = 1HM 853 601, Color Code TE1 (Chrome Special they
call it). Last price outa the dealer I noted was just under $20.
The Black one (for those that are interested) is 323 853 601, Color Code
041, also just under $20.
The Cabrio of the same year spread shows a different PN (3A0 853 600, Color
Code EPG) (Chrome) @ $29.35
Chris' post:
they are the same.. at least in looks and fitment.. i have a blacked out
vw badge from a '90 GTI in the grille of my '90 cabriolet.. and they are
identical looking.. and i have a '90 jetta badge in my SA grille on my
vanagon...

I was going to replace the black emblem on the SA Grille on "Ole Putt" with
a fancy chrome one, but decided to leave it black - grows on you. :-)
