Yes,

There were chrome hubcaps on my 83 when I bought it. They were new and had a sticker on the inside that said 68 up bug and bus. The standard puller would not fit as the holes are smaller.

The black hubcaps I have are genuine VW and fit great. They also have the larger holes so the VW hubcap puller works.
