Besides having a quirky website, I have found their service to be exactly what everyone else has been saying.

My latest order was for over $1,200. There was some confusion and a little bit of lack of follow-up and a great deal of desire on their part to get it done right.

It all comes down to this. Anything important in life needs follow-up and research on the buyer's part. Anything that's worth anything takes work. Not everything can be everything to everybody and IMHO, it shouldn't really be expected to be everything. It should be expected to have it all be able to be worked out by two willing cooperative parties.

On a side note on doing business. I used to take a very customer-centric view of my contracting. This led me to lose an incredibly large sum of money to a slime ball and a slime ball company. The court system, laws in PA and, to a lesser extent, my lawyer screwed me too which caused me to lose even more money. Now I take a very selfish perspective on my work. The customer comes in a close second. By not taking a hit on paying for more expensive shipping at no extra cost, the Bus Depot is doing the same thing, which is the way to stay in business. If they went out of business, you couldn't get your next order at a really really cheap price compared to the other vendors out there. Before I learned about how to do this stuff right, I paid the VW dealer $600 for a replacement LP gas tank for my Westy. The Bus Depot's same gas tank (looks like the one I got from the dealer) cost about $200. I am willing to work with them for that kind of discount and they are willing to take my calls and do what it takes to get it right.
