For Westies, the best place to put these magnetic mounts is, usually, under the leading edge of the front luggage carrier. The fiberglass is transparent to the signal. You can then route the cable under the canvas, and then down behind the curtain behind the stove, behind the cabinet, under the drivers seat, under the carpet and up to the dash. If your satellite box is remote (separate from the head unit), you can put the satellite box in the cabinet under the sink (a variety of spots there).
