Hi Forian,

I can't say about the fuel injection cleaner. Maybe there is a toll free phone number on the can you can call and ask? If the van is going to be parked for nine months though I would add a can/bottle of "Gasoline Stabilizer" to the tank. Follow the instructions, basically add to tank, drive to mix well and fill the complete fuel system before putting the van in hibernation. Some other things to think about:

1) Change oil and filter

2) There is a produce you add to the cylinders by pulling the plugs and poring in the cylinders and replacing the plugs. This protects the pistons and cylinders from rusting up. Sealing up the air intake and exhaust system with plastic bags or ............!

4) Putting the van on blocks to keep the tires from "flat spotting". More necessary on older "Nylon" cord construction and heavy duty tires.

5) Remove the battery, top off with distilled water and put on a solar powered battery charger. (ala the ones shipped with new Volkswagens)

6) Drain the fresh water tank.

7) Remove wiper blades.

8) Putting window shades on the inside of glass if parked outside.

9) Depending on the parking location, inside, heated or not, outside, etc. Adding Rat/Mouse traps, a moisture preventing compound, insect poison, etc, etc,. I sure there are many more steps I am missing that the List can add/remove from, so List.... feel free to add to or make comments.

Have a good trip!

Howard
