I have the domain h2oboxer.com and was looking to set up a site using Joomla!. I was looking to set up a phpbb type of forum along with a Vanagon-of-the-day function where someone could submit a picture of their van and a little story about it.

Joomla!, for those that don't know, is a very nice content mananagement system.

The beauty of it is that you can assign multiple people with the abilities of editors, submitters, and administrators.

I was hoping to try to contact some of the professionals on the list, to write a guest column or have someone with some specific knowledge who is willing to share.

I was not looking to limit the site, only requirement is that the info is Vanagon related.

If anyone is interested in helping out I would greatly accept the help. It seems that the Vanagon.com site has become a bit out-of-date, and I would like to be able to offer a place where the community has some more input.

Plenty of bandwidth and plenty of storage space.

Any comments or suggestions?

There is just a shell out there now.

Thanks

I was reading awhile back about 'wikis'... and from what the article detailed it seemed like it might be a very useful tool for this list. Having said that, I've never actually 'used' one myself, other than reading the occasional link to Wikipedia. Anybody think it'd be viable, or not? Anybody know the nuts 'n bolts of how to run one?

Cya, Robert
