I don't think you can remove the plastic - I'd love to be able to myself. I have cleaned inside with a Q-tip and some mild cat shampoo of all things and then lots of rinsing.

I have my van's instrument cluster out (repairing the odometer, and epoxying the cracked plastic shroud around the speedo housing).

I'd like to clean things up as best I can and it looks as though the curved clear plastic that covers the front side of the speedo and tack/clock can be removed. Does anyone know how to do this as I certainly don't want to crack the clear plastic.

I tried the archives, but didn't find anything with the search terms I used. thanks. Malcolm
